OUR STORY

An operator and working dog stand near an aircraft in a dust-filled landing zone.

BUILT BY THOSE WHO LIVED IT.

OTX grew from what founder Scott Bates and his family learned firsthand: returning home is not the same as reconnecting. Scott served 25 years in the U.S. Army, including 19 years in a U.S. Army Special Mission Unit and 19 combat deployments. That experience shaped a simple purpose: give operators and their families uninterrupted time to stay whole and continue to serve.

The board carries that same lived experience. Retired Special Mission Unit members and spouses lead OTX entirely as volunteers.

EVERY DETAIL HAS MEANING.

In our world, the X is the objective, the place where focus, pressure, and responsibility converge. Off the X represents a moment away from that world, giving operators and their families uninterrupted time to reconnect and strengthen the bonds that sustain them.

Every detail in the logo carries meaning. Each dot honors a fallen operator. The letters surrounding them remain a quiet recognition for those who know. The wave and Florida mark reflect a quiet place away from the noise, where families can focus on what matters most, each other.
